HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY
The Sorg Opera House can accommodate those using wheelchairs and related support equipment. Please be advised that the venue DOES NOT have wheelchairs or other support equipment available.
Wheelchairs and mobility device seating is on the outside aisles. Patrons are advised to ensure that brakes and other stopping devices are in full working order as the theater is is constructed with a gradual slope. The Sorg is not responsible for any failures and/or injuries caused to or by the patron in regards to securing their wheelchairs or mobility devices.
Restrooms are handicap accessible for most wheelchairs and equipment, but may not accommodate larger vehicles due to confined spaces and tight corners typical with late 19th-century building layouts.
No elevators are available for balcony access.
A loading/unloading/drop-off area is dedicated in front of the main entrance.
GENERAL SAFETY AND NOTICES
All patrons are advised to take notice that the Sorg Opera House is 133 years old and is currently in a state of ongoing restoration. Areas may be closed to public access or signs may be placed advising of a potential hazards. Patrons are asked to not touch, peel, push, or otherwise interfere with areas that are damaged.
The Sorg Opera House does not control “Meet and Greet”, photo opportunities, or if they artists will sign autographs. All patrons are advised to assume that no opportunities to meet the artists will be provided unless official stated in the event details or by the artists during the show. Sorg staff WILL NOT take items backstage to be autographed, nor convey any messages directly to the artists.
